Get to know the Dancing Grandmas!
Judy
Judy joined us in 2025 after retiring from full-time work. After taking tap dance classes as a retirement project, she decided to give us a try! Judy is 66 and lives in Madeira.
Debora
Debora is 66 years old. She began with us in 2019 just before the pandemic and had to wait almost two years before performing! Debora lives in Trenton and has four children and six grandchildren. Debora is also our Booking Coordinator - give her a call!
Elaine
Elaine is 66 years young and has been with our group since 2025 after several months of tap dance lessons. She was raised in Cincinnati but relocated to Washington State. Elaine returned to Cincinnati to help her mom. She is an aunt and great-aunt to 3 adorable boys.
Shelley
At age 68, Shelley lives in North Avondale and joined us after moving to Cincinnati in 2009. She has four children and five grandchildren, with another on the way. Shelley began tapping at age 34 when an adult tap class started at her daughters' dance studio. She has been our director since 2018.
Mary
Mary joined our group in 2023. She is 68 years young and lives in Peach Grove. Mary's family includes three children (including a professional dancer!) and four grandchildren.
Cornelia (Nicky)
Nicky joined us in February 2018 and quickly learned how to tap dance! She is 69 years old, has two children, eleven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Nicky lives in Silverton.
Cindy
Cindy joined us in 2021. She began dancing at age 3 1/2 in lessons with Harris Rosedale. She taught dance for 10 years and danced with a traveling group. Formerly from Finneytown, she now lives in West Chester near her 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Cindy is 73.
Troi
Troi is a two-timer with us! She danced for many years with Harris Rosedale, the only one of us who is an original member of the group. After taking 11 years off, she returned in 2011. Troi is 77 and lives in Mason. She and her husband have a blended family of 4 children and 2 grandchildren.
Marti
Marti is 80 and lives in Colerain Township. Her family includes 3 children, 10 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Marti has been with the group since 2009.
Carol
Carol joined the group in October 2025 after we performed for her group of retired teachers. She started dancing at age 3, and even won a jitterbug contest! Carol has 3 children and 2 grandchildren. She is 81 years young.
Karen
Karen lives in Anderson Township and is 82 years young. She has a blended family of 7 children, 18 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Karen joined us in 1999.
Jane
Living in Peach Grove, Colerain Township, Jane is 82 years old. She has been dancing with us since 2003, when she first learned to tap dance at age 60! Jane has 4 children, 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Jan
Jan joined our tappers in June 2018. She started dance lessons at the age of 5. Jan has 4 children, 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, and lives in Edgewood, Ky. Jan is 82 years young.
Ann
Ann has been with the group since March 2013. Ann has 3 children and 3 granddaughters. She is 83 years young and resides in both Hyde Park and Ft. Myers, Florida.
Jan
Jan joined us in 2018. Her family consists of four children, 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She lives in Edgewood, KY and is 82 years young.
